On May 16th, we had the great pleasure of performing at @turunjapanipaiva as a shamisen performance group.

We shared a program featuring Japanese traditional folk music, an introduction to the history and culture of the shamisen and Tsugaru shamisen, solo pieces by @zuiko_shyamisen , and ensemble performances by Mizuoki Ryu.

Thank you again for this wonderful opportunity. We truly enjoyed bringing shamisen music to Turku, and we hope everyone had a great time.

A big thank you to the organizer, Naoko-san, for making this event possible.

14th of May , we were very honored to perform with our Tsugaru shamisen ensemble at @roihuvuoriseura Hanami-Juhla 2026. We also offered Tsugaru shamisen experiences and small performances at our booth.

Once again, thank you to the organizers for giving us this wonderful opportunity to perform on stage. We would also like to thank everyone who came to watch our performance and try the shamisen experience.

This month was our first group rehearsal of 2026.

To prepare for our performance in May, we’ve been meeting every Sunday over the past three Sundays, practicing our ensemble pieces together.
